“I want to be a part of Survivor Ambassadors, so I can reach and raise as much awareness for male victims and also victims within the LGBT community.”

My name is Lucky Roy Singh and I’m the author of Take a Walk in my Big Indian Heels. I’m a writer, actor, model, gay activist and feminist. I am also a survivor of honour abuse.

I am of Punjabi heritage but was born in Manchester. My book, which is a diary based on my own life, has been described as “a righteous act for Sikh culture." I played the title role in “Heer," a play on honour, performing at the Royal Exchange.

My book has won two awards for representation of issues addressed within a cultural environment and also for best download on Kindle.

What has been the impact of becoming a Survivor Ambassador?

I want to be a part of the Survivor Ambassador Programme, so I can reach and raise as much awareness for male victims and also victims within the LGBT community.
